About Iliamna
About Iliamna
Independent flight research for people who want to understand the trip before they book it.
It is not an airport, aircraft operator, charter broker, travel agency, booking service, or the former Iliamna Air Taxi. It does not sell transportation or provide live fares.
What the publication does
Iliamna researches the decisions around flying: comparing fares, reading ticket structure, planning connections, handling baggage, understanding cabins and aircraft, checking an air-charter proposal, and connecting the airport to the rest of the journey.
Flights are the starting point. We also cover the parts of a journey that change a flight decision, including ground transport, overnight connections, difficult airports, and remote destinations.
Why keep the name?
Iliamna is a real place in Alaska and this domain previously represented an aviation operator. Hiding that would be less honest than stating it. Useful pages have been rebuilt with current, independent sources. Old operator material is not presented as a current service or as proof that this publication continues the former business.
Current FAA records may still contain names associated with the former operator. We do not use that fact to imply that the publication owns, represents, succeeds, or speaks for any current or former aviation entity.
What independence means
- No airline, airport, aircraft manufacturer, or booking platform controls the coverage.
- No affiliate or booking relationship is active at launch.
- No operator can buy a recommendation or ranking.
- Generated editorial imagery is reviewed and is not presented as documentary evidence.
- Material claims use current first-party or authoritative sources.
- Prices, schedules, routes, and legal outcomes are never invented.
Who writes the pages?
Pages are published by the Iliamna editors. That is a team label, not a fictional person or a claim of firsthand travel. The editors research, review, and update articles under the public editorial and source policy.
We do not publish invented author biographies, credentials, tests, or travel experiences. When a page uses a specialist review or direct reporting in the future, the page will name the real contribution and its limits.
