Internet Archive captures show a family-owned air-taxi identity associated with Iliamna, Alaska. The former pages marketed a mix of on-demand charter, scheduled passenger, mail and freight work, flightseeing, float trips, and access for hunting and fishing. They discussed Anchorage and communities around the Iliamna Lake region.
The captured fleet page listed aircraft types including the Pilatus PC-12, Beechcraft aircraft, Cessna 207, de Havilland Beaver, and Piper Navajo or Chieftain. The old site also represented an operating history beginning in 1977. Those are dated statements from the former site, not a current fleet, ownership, airworthiness, or availability claim.
A 2000 AOPA feature provides independent period context for the operator’s ownership, aircraft, and role moving people, supplies, mail, and cargo in the region at that time.
Why the pages are not simply restored
A literal restoration would put obsolete marketing back into the present tense. It could misdirect a traveler, imply that the publication operates aircraft, or turn an old schedule into apparent live information. The original page images also contain branding, photography, and contact details whose republication rights and current relevance are not established.
Each preserved path therefore receives a new historical treatment: independence notice first, capture context, careful paraphrase, and no operational call to action. The exact old path stays useful without pretending to be the old business.
What current FAA records do and do not show
Current FAA designator material still lists names associated with `ILIAMNA AIR TAXI INC.`, the telephony `ILIAMNA AIR`, and designator `IAR`. Current-valid aircraft registry entries also exist in the company name. That evidence is why this publication does not describe the company as defunct.
