of Condor Airlines: With Alaska Airlines, new mileage plans are now available

As of today, this cooperation enables Alaska frequently flyers to drive non-stop and collection kilometers to Europe. Previously, Alaska Airlines and Condor Airlines had an "interline agreement" which enabled the two airlines to link European and North American airlines. Their previous arrangement, however, precluded the new mileage relationship.

Actual Alaska Mileage Plan members can start accruing mileage immediately as they are credited to the plan's élite designation, but reward trips begin "at a later date," says Alaska Airlines. In addition, the airline greets Condor travellers who wish to participate in their mileage plan free of charge. As Alaska Airlines added, Virgin America's Elevate programme passengers will also benefit from the offer when travellers use their 2017 issue Alaska Mileage Plan number.

As well as mileage recognition, the alliance will also enable Alaska Airlines passengers travelling on Condor services to Frankfurt and Munich to link up with some 75 other cities on three different continents. Alaska Airlines will also be able to offer its passengers the opportunity to fly to the airport on Condor services. "Ralf Teckentrup, Condor' s Chief Executive, said: "We have a long-standing relationship with Alaska Airlines, eight years ahead of our launch of the non-stop Seattle services.

"With Condor starting this summers biggest growth of new US gateway and route, we are excited to extend our relationships with Alaska Airlines to provide our clients with the ability to collect mileage to all of our 75 worldwide destinations." While Condor Airlines is already flying non-stop to Frankfurt, Germany "from Seattle; San Diego; Las Vegas, Portland, Oregon, Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska; and Vancouver, British Columbia", Condor Airlines is to provide a new flight from Seattle to Munich by June, says Alaska Airlines.

"As we continue to expand our global partnership capabilities, we are giving our customers greater global reach. Alaska Airlines is pleased to announce that Condor offers an important connection, with non-stop services from seven Alaska Gateway airlines to Europe and beyond," said Andrew Harrison, Andrew's senior management board member, Alaska Airlines exclusive agent and CEO. "Condor' s non-stop Seattle to Germany services allow our passengers to board a Sea-Tac aircraft and get off in Europe and earn miles."
