A licensed or accredited institution may be able to offer a greater diversity of educational support, special amenities and more planning options. Some higher education institutions and a number of higher education institutions also offer pilots as part of their curriculum. Licensed schools must comply with mandatory requirements in terms of equipping, amenities, staff and curriculum.

As a rule, the flight instruction requirements for a personal flight certification are 40 lessons, but can be lowered to 35 lessons if you are trained at an accredited university. But since most humans need 60 to 75 training hrs, this gap can be negligible. It is up to you to decide where you receive flight training.
