The Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP) was incorporated on 22 November 1973 as a private company with restricted liability under the Companies Act 1913, which was later replaced by the Companies Ordinance 1984. The ICSP has been the only recognised trade association of business secretaries since its creation, providing training and care in the areas of secretariat work.
In addition to imparting know-how for mastering the challenge of the contemporary corporate and finance environment, the ICSP also offers command in the areas of Corporate & Commerce Law, Corporate governance, Accountancy, Administration, Leadership, HR, Business ethics and Information technologies. In fact, company secretaries should have the necessary calibre to represent a course of conduct or make choices in accordance with rules, legislation, precedents, tradition and best practice, and to monitor that the company's activities effectively/effectively impact its targets and requirements.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's level recognised by the University Commission (HEC) or an equal level recognised by the Institute's Council. Candidates will be enrolled for a term of up to five years and must take the exam within the specified term.
Candidates who have a university degree and are at least 18 years old can submit an admission letter. Applications for enrolment can be obtained from the Institute's Secretariat or by downloading it from its website. A certified copy of transcripts/certificates supporting degrees to evaluate the waiver and a payment order or cheque in the amount of RS should be attached to the enrolment request as a scholar.

Even though the qualifications offered by the ICSP are not fully recognised, but are a genuine non-profit organisation, it has the advantage of offering the best vocational training with the cheapest tariff system in the state. Against the backdrop of the current inflation in our countries, the tariff system has been structured to attract specialists from all areas of live.
Half-yearly (in January and July) the Institute holds examinations in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad at the same time and also examines the opening of the centres in Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Faisalabad. You can register for the exam all year round. Applicants who register up to and incl. the May of each year are entitled to take the July exam, and those who register up to and incl. November are entitled to take the January exam next year.
In order to become a member of the Institute, a member must have passed the Institute's exam. In the following, the audit structures of the Institute are presented. It grants various exceptions for accountants, cost and management accountants, MBAs and some other recognised skills. Exceptions for certain disciplines are also possible based on skills such as MBA and ACCA etc.
Currently, the members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and the Institute of Cost & Management Accounts of Pakistan are granted an indemnity in Module A & B, i.e. nine out of thirteen documents. Note that the liberation is not available in any way for the Institute's key disciplines within the meaning of Module B.
