Member Service Expands, Talon Air Combine Charter Operator for NY-FL Shortcut

Wheels Up, a member of Talon Air Airport Group, is working with Talon Air to introduce a planned pro-seat Hawker 4000 Series supermidsize bus transfer from Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, New York to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) in Florida. Designed for Wheels Up members only, the Wheels Up services begin in the morning and cost $2,100 per one-way ticket, inclusive of tax, according to Justin Firestone's start-up affiliate, Justin Firestone.

Departures from HPN will be at 16:00 on Fridays and 18:00 on Sundays, except for this public holidays week-end when the Monday 6:00 will see the aircraft returning at 18:00. Firestone said the shuttles will run until 5 March but could be prolonged beyond that date if used.

"This is currently the only pod we operate with Talon Air," he said to AIN. Gama Aviation's Beechcraft King Air 350is and Cessna Citation Excel/XLSs fleets, however, already operate several northeastern and California based scheduled services. Indeed, Firestone said, it will add this summers King Air shuttle service from New York and Boston to Nantucket and Hyannis as well as other previously advertised locations.
