Optimization of the coverage area and journey choice of an electrical automatic taxi system used for the last few miles of rail journeys.

In order to optimise automatic taxi system, two whole number programms are suggested. Accurate zoneing and route picking of automatic cabs increase profits. Electrical automatic taxi cabs limit the acceptance of further enquiries. The use of automatic taxi services can reduce moving expenses and increase profits. For the optimization of an automatic taxi system (AT) for the last few miles of trains, we suggest two integral programms.

Modell S1: Travel bookings are either accept or reject by the carrier according to maximum profits; Modell S2: Any booking for a chosen area by the chosen location must be fulfilled by the mode. Modelling was used on a case studies. The results show that vehicle fleets influence the efficiency of the taxi system: a 40-tonne vehicle is ideal in terms of 1 and 60-tonne vehicles in terms of 2.
