There is a charge for a taxi reservation by telephone, for continental Greece it is 1.92 for a single call and between 3.39 and 5.65 for making an arrangement. The taxi fee on the Greeks is 1.85 for a single call and between 3.27 and 5.45 for making an arrangement.
In order to use the taxi tariff calculating utility, just right-click on the card to enter your start and end addresses, or use the entry boxes in the menus. Taxi fares are based on the latest rates (2012) and provide a full breakdown of the fees you can reasonably be expected to pay for your taxi journey.
Fees also included the 13% value added tax for taxi rides on the Greec continental shelf and 9% value added tax for Greece Island on 01.01.2011. Figure shows a full journey forecasting and an estimate of fixed journey times on the basis of a 24-hour transport forecasting from the date of compute.
When you hover the cursor over the chart, the estimate of the taxi rate is refreshed to take into account different rates (e.g. overnight rate) as well as the taxi stop fee. It is a new (*Beta / Experimental) function and is only considered for the part of the taxi ride that is either within the Athens or Thessaloniki municipal boundary.
When the taxi drives outside the boundaries of the town, fare 2 is taken into account as well. That means that for every meter outside the urban boundaries a dual fare is charged instead of the standard fare 1, which is currently activated for taxi rides from Athens or Thessaloniki.
There is a flat fee for all taxi services to or from the Athens city center (especially within the central areas of the city, described in the card below or here) and to Athens International Airports, which will include all fees (and VAT) - 35 if the taxi reaches Athens International Airports or the city center after 5 a.m. and before 12 noon, and 50 if the taxi reaches Athens International Airports or the city center after 12 noon and before 5 a.m.
Taxi Calculator shows these costs when you travel to and from Athens International Airports and the city center. At any other airports, or if you are not travelling to or from the center, the usual charges are applicable - these are stated in the estimate. Tolls and a default fee are included if the taxi comes from a port, railway station (except Athens Metro and Proakstiakos/Suburban Rail) or coach terminal (without buses).
It provides an estimate of the price of a taxi ride on a sensible route from A to B2 and is designed to give an idea of how much the ride can be. Although every endeavour has been made to make the calculation of expenses as accurate as possible, real expenses may differ.
