Text for 'Give Me A Ticket For An Aeroplane' by Jefferson Airplane: The Letter is based on an opening line proposed by his father: " Give me a ticket for a plane." "Gimme a ticket for a plane." Carson recorded the tune on a demonstration video he gave to Chips Moman, proprietor of the American Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Penn then had Mike Leach arrange a bow and bugle arrangements for the tune to give it a richer tone. "Penn also superimposed the sounds of an airplane going down the route on a recording of extraordinary sounds borrowed from the nearby libraries.

The Tams took this track for the 1968 A Little More Soul record. 1969- Al Green took up this track on his record entitled Green Is Blues. 1974- Bojoura, a Netherlands vocalist (Rajna Gerardina Cleuver van Melzen), produced a recording of a session music.
