Publication/announcement plan similar to the low-cost MacBook (above). Apole's aging MacBook Air could finally be updated soon. New MacBook Air 2018 Release Date, Price & Specifications Rumors

Launched in January 2008, MacBook Air has proven to be the most portable - and affordable - model in Apple's product line. Are we ever gonna see a new MacBook Air? What is the 2018 MacBook Air Publishing Date? Initial reporting suggests that a new MacBook Air will be launched in the second quarter of 2018, but serial manufacturing was supposedly postponed to the third quarter, just in time to get into town.

We are now in the third quarter of 2018, so where is our new MacBook Air? MacBook was released, but Apple hosted a memorable September 12, 2018 MacBook launch. It is possible that there will be another meeting in October as in the years before or that we will receive the latest information by means of a media announcement. Which specifications are there for the new MacBook Air?

Among all the new rumors about the MacBook Air is a Retina display, although this is not happy with the fact that the price is also lower. More likely in this regard is a CPU and potential storage drain, with everything in the same enclosure - more or less, because it's high timed for Apple to add a USB-C connector and Touch ID capability.

With a 12-hour busy rechargeable capacity, this model is easy to transport thanks to its 13-inch display, 1.35kg display and 1.7cm (the narrowest) footprint.

The MacBook Air: Might a 2018 update of the MacBook be on its way?

Refreshing the MacBook Air to commemorate a decades of selling could make a MacBook model that appears to have been abandoned younger. Might Apple plan to upgrade MacBook Air, and if so, what changes are on the table? MacBook Air celebrates its 10-year jubilee this year, which Steve Jobs unveiled in January 2008.

It has been updated several a time with new fixtures and small changes, but it still has the same ultra obsolete outfit. This is the year Apple will be redesigning MacBook Air? Apple recently updated its MacBook Per product line as normal, but oddly enough they kept the $1,300 basic model entirely untouched, making it really affordable in comparison to the new quad-core 13-inch Touch Bar series.

Retina MacBooks have not been upgraded for the first three years. It also packs dual-core CPUs and has the same value of $1,300, which also makes it less appealing if you value power. Since the MacBook Air MacBook Air didn't get a big push at WanDC 2017, it didn't get anything at the 2018 edition.

If you look at the Geekbench 4 processor test, all three unmodified MacBooks lag far behind the new 13-inch MacBook Per touchbar in power. Retina MacBook already fulfills the roles MacBook Air used to play, so what if Apple chose to merge the MacBook and MacBook Air ranges into a new, all-new MacBook design on a new MacBook, with a whole new design?

These MacBooks are already competing with each other, making for a rather bewildering line-up. When Apple redesigned MacBook Air while improving MacBook Air efficiency, it's doubtful there's still a MacBook Air retail area. MacBook Air's latest styling is as old as never before in Apple's product line, with giant apertures that surround a low-resolution screen of 900 p.

It' s driven by 5th-generation Intel processor-based computers, while the new MacBook Pros have been upgraded to 8th-generation devices. In the positive side for some, the MacBook Air has legacy ports like Thunderbolt 2, and it still uses the old keypad and phisical tracks. As MacBook Air celebrates its 10-year jubilee this year, it might be the ideal period for a facelift, and I'm not alone in this way of thought.

As early as March, Ming-Chi Kuo asserted that Apple was considering a cheaper MacBook Air later this year, and reiterated his assertions in June and July. DigiTimes reports that Apple is working on a new MacBook Air with a sleek look, high-resolution screen, and Intel's latest laptop CPU, which is likely to cut by $100 or $200.

On August 13, they reaffirmed allegations about a new, affordable MacBook. There are rumours that Apple is awaiting Intel's Cannonlake CPUs for an upgrade, but if that's the case, we won't see an upgrade until 2019. Suppose Apple is preparing a new MacBook Air with the ability to have a quad-core model CPU.

Apple would do well not to launch it at the same market as the new $1799 quad-core MacBook Pro as this could affect Apple's ability to sell both of them. Had there been a straightforward upgrade of both MacBook Air and MacBook with eighth-generation dual-core CPUs, it would have been easy to introduce it alongside the new Touch Bar MacBook Pro without impacting MacBook Pro revenue.

Failure to do so indicates that Apple is not going to upgrade MacBook Air at all, or is making some fairly big changes to the entry-level version of the Mac handheld. When Apple refreshes its MacBook Air line with a new MacBook Airudget, we have some ideas for what you can look for in a laptop.

In continuation of the external, an upgrade to the Force Touch tracks and a new keypad layout would be a welcome addition to the desig. Much as we want Apple to have its own customized CPU, and although we're almost sure it's going to come, it's likely to take a few more years.

In any case, we want a newer CPU and even the possibility of a quad-core one. From a price point of view, we definitely want the basic model to remain below $1,000 before we add any up-grades. After all, it's said to be a cheap MacBook.
