Boeing Business Jets - or BBJs - are a long-haul 737-700 and -800 aircraft developed to.... The Boeing Business Jets is a Boeing Business Jets JV established in July 1996 by Boeing and General Electric to design and commercialize a business aircraft variant of the beloved 737 aircraft, originally focused on the 737-700-based BBJ (or 737-700 BBJ).

Its first BBJ left Boeing's Renton factory on 11 August 1998 and made its first flight on 4 September this year. The US FAA granted approval on 30 October for the 737-700 cell on which the BBJ is located. BBJs combine the next-generation 737-700 aircraft cell with the reinforced wings, middle section of the body and undercarriage of the bigger and heavier 737-800 with three to ten additional abdominalanks.

The Boeing company is supplying BBJ aircraft, either non-furnished or "green", to DeCrane of Georgetown, Delaware, for the long haul tanks installations. Boeing took off the BBJ2 on October 11, 1999, which is built on the 737-800 extended cell, which is 5.84 meters (19ft 2in) longer than the BBJ, and offers 25% more cab room (and 100% more luggage space), but has a slightly decreased outreach.

Three to seven additional bunker tank units are available. BBJ and BBJ - Maximum Cruise Mach 0.82, Regular Cruise Mach 0.80, Long Cruise Mach 0.79.
