The longest flights in the world: ranking list Singapore Airlines launched its non-stop service between Singapore Changi Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport outside New York City on Thursday. Friday the airplane went back from Newark to Singapore. This is the longest air journey in the world with a range of 10,357 mph over almost 19 operating hours.

Qatar Airways last year took off the world's longest trip between its home bases in Doha, Qatar and Auckland, New Zealand. In Emirates, the UAE Dubai-Auckland connection was converted from a Boeing 777 to an Airbus A380.

It is now the third longest trip in the world and the longest performed by a super jumbo. U.S. has resumed non-stop services from San Francisco to Singapore, one of the longest flights from the U.S., while Qantas is flying non-stop between Perth in Western Australia and London.
