The Homewood Transportation Service offers several different types of service for lecturers, employees and college and college graduates. This includes day duty, which connects the various Johns Hopkins homes in Baltimore, and night duty, which ensures secure transportation around the Homewood Campus and surrounding area. The Brody Shuffle - Brody Shuffle leaves BLC every half hours (at :00 and :30) from 23:30 to 3:00.

Travellers inform the drivers about their destinations and the drivers efficiently co-ordinate returns. Blue Jay Shuttle Services operate on a combined night-only and travel-only basis - always scheduled services in an area near the Homewood Center from 5:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at night, seven nights a week, except for university vacations and other times set by the university.

From 17:50, the delivery van fleets depart from Brody Learning Commons, the shuttle's transport hubs. TransLoc is a GPS-based real-time information system that is available either on-line or via a portable unit. The free TransLoc application is available at www.translocrider.com. Colored trails feature highlighted "flag stops" - secure load areas - at select college campuses, off-campus dormitories, and trading and retailing sites.

Travellers must be at a marked stop and "mark" the shuttle with their J-Card in order to get on the scheduled vehicles. Any Johns Hopkins partner with a current J-Card can use the Blue Jay Shuttle. In order not to slow down the shuttle, the passenger is required to take all his/her belongings, rucksacks, shopping bag etc. up and down the shuttle.

At 23:30, the permanent lines will stop operating. Brody Shuffle leaves BLC every half hours (at :00 and :30) from 23:30 to 3:00. The Blue Jay Shuttle services may be interrupted in the event of adverse climatic events, but will be reactivated as soon as possible.
