Maintaining a good (liver) society

In addition to dyers, fletchers and goldsmiths, LSCA's vice chairman Malcolm Bacchus says that today's experts, such as auditors, also have their own Livery Companies. In England and Wales, the Whorshipful Company of Chartered Accountants supports the trade, the Corporation of London and the Lord Mayor in preserving and advancing London as an internationally important finance center and provides a community platform for its members.

Although it was not until 1977 that the company was awarded Livery designation, it quickly developed into a major player in the administration of the City of London, generating no less than eight mayors and countless sheriffs, deputies, councillors and other officials in its first 40 years. It participates in many of the city's festive events, such as the Michaelmas Day Lord Mayor elections and the Mayor's presentation in November.

It has three regular dinner meals per year in various Livery Company venues in the city and an annual dinner party, usually in the manor house. As a member of the Financial Services Group of Livery Companies, it also provides local and international advertising visitors with expert knowledge of the mayor and the city.

It is a non-profit foundation focused on financing education and training programs, especially those that enhance people' ability to finance themselves. Furthermore, every year the entire company backs the Lord Mayor's call and is in constant touch with a number of army troops, a scouts group, a city ranch and a number of local colleges.
