In Singapore, all taxi riders must hold a professional driver's license (TDVL) before they can rent a taxi. At the time of your request, you have a Class 3/3A Qualifying License for an uninterrupted minimum one year. Ability to communicate and communicate in plain English.

The LTA permit for participation in the TDVL course. A GCE'O' or'N'Level Passport in English (grade D7 and higher) or a 3 Passport in English as part of the Workplace Literacy (WPL) program. Candidates must sit 3 tests: Every six years, all taxi riders are obliged to take a compulsory taxi refresher course.

LTA employed taxi driver: Inactive taxi driver and/or with navigation-related crimes (defined by the LTA): Rental cars for Singapore must have a professional card (PDVL). At the time of your request, hold a Class 3/3A/3C/3CA Qualifying License for an uninterrupted minimum of two years.

Singapore Taxi Academy

Students go through a combined face-to-face and self-learning program to gain all the skills needed for a driver. Students receive the Taxi Driver's Vocational License (TDVL) and the Hire Car Driver's Vocational License (PDVL) from the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) upon completion of the program and successfully complete all mandatory exams.

Students can make a livelihood by offering a chauffeur driven chauffeur services with a taxi or rental personal vehicle approved by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore. The LTA permit for participation in the course Vocational Admission. Number of training hours: 25 lessons (16 lessons with at least 9 self-study hours).

Up to 2 modules / 8 teaching units per team. Full tuition: 2 full tuition per week / 8 tuition per week. Course part time: 8 and 2 tuition per diurn. 20 apprentices (min.) to 25 apprentices (max.). Students must take all classes and pass all class-room drills before taking the required exams.
