Bombardier Global 7000: What would you select?

The Gulfstream X650ER and the Bombardier Global 7000 each provide multi-zone staterooms, first-class comfort and, of course, long ranges for two long-range commercial aircraft. Even though they are quite similar, the Global 7000 and Global 750ER have some similarities that need to be considered when selecting the right airport.

Up to 19 occupants can be accommodated in the open cab of the 650ER without partitions. The 46-foot 10-inch Gulfstream cab has 16 Gulfstream panorama stars for plenty of daylight. At 54 feet 7 inches, the Global 7000's cab is slightly longer and has 28 large vertically opening window frames. Space for only 17 people, but with split cabins for increased personal space and increased efficiency.

The Global 7000 has a standing showers with a main bedroom and an adjacent WC, which the 650ER has not. The Global 7000, however, has a fully closed, special crewing relaxation area that contributes to increasing crewing convenience on long journeys. Designed not to be open, the 650ER has a separate V.I.P. stateroom with an Executive Chair, a Divan, high-definition TV and two panes.

Specifically, the Global 7000 can travel 100 mile further than the Global 650ER and has a max cruising distance of 7,500 nm, but both aircraft travel at the same max speeds and altitudes. Whereas the Global 7000 650ER is driven by two Rolls-Royce power plants, the Global 7000 has two GE Passport power plants, which were approved by the US FAA in April 2016.

Though the Global 7000 has an eight ft longer cab than the GT650ER, it has a faster take-off of 5,950 ft than the GT650ER's 6,299 ft take-off requirements. Global 7000 also incorporates fly-by-wire capability, which provides maximum accuracy and full crew member monitoring throughout the entire mission. Whether with extraordinary cruising ranges or beautiful luxury staterooms, no one will be dissapointed by the Global 7000 or Global650ER.
