Predictions for the sale of private jets
A number of current projections show good volume increases for new corporate jets over the next ten years. A number of the predictions assume that the overall economy will grow over the next five years and then weaken. Some see steady economic expansion over ten years. We have reviewed the projections of both Honeywell and Embraer, the broker Jetcraft and the analyst of Teal Group, so there is a very good group with inside sector expertise.
In this group, projections range from 8,755 to 9,200 new jets to be launched in the next ten years. These planes are expected to have a value in dollars of between 259 and 277 billion dollars. Honeywell and Embraer see the growth of the Japanese car industry as quite constant over the next ten years.
They both see the greatest driving forces behind this increase as being medium-sized, super-medium and large jets. The sale of ultra-long-range aircraft will also increase slightly, but smaller jets will remain fairly constant over the time. Honeywell's prognosis shows Embraer prognosis shows The Jetcraft and Teal Group forecasts that the markets will reach their zenith between 2019 and 2021.
The Jetcraft brand has reached a high in 2021 and the Teal Group in 2019. They both then anticipate that the downturn in the following years will come, with the Teal Group saying that the downturn will be somewhat smaller but still above today's levels, while the downturn in the Jetcraft segment will be much greater. The company sees strong expansion in lightweight jets, in additional to the medium and supercategories, as well as good expansion in ultralong range aircraftales.
Jetcraft prediction shows: For 2015, Honeywell is forecasting the delivery of approximately 675 to 725 new jets. For 2016, they expect shipments to be slightly lower as lower levels of supply from developing countries are partly compensated by shipments to fractionated MOs. It is Jetcraft's forecast that almost 50% of the value-based share of the aircraft will come from the sale of ultra-long range jets such as Globals and G600s and G650s. Supermids are the next biggest class with about 13% of the fair value. Honeywell and Embraer both see about 75% of the total supply from North American and European incumbents.
Embraer says 54% of US production will come from the US and 50% from the US dollar. The Jetcraft Group also predicts that Northern America will grow its market shares (compared to the remainder of the world) to 54% of overall shipments. Jetcraft Bombardier has taken the lead in both volume and dollar among the largest vendors among vendors.
