If a reservation has been sub-contracted, it shall be made by a means of transport and drivers approved by the same advice as the manager who obtained the sub-contracting.

If, for example, a Watford-based operators passes a reservation on to a St Albans operators, the reservation must be made by a chauffeur and car registered by St Albans City and District Council. When a St Albans resident operators passes a reservation on to an Watford resident operators, the reservation must be made by a chauffeur and a Watford Borough Council approved car.

They may not pass on reservations in St Albans district directly to riders approved by other authorities. Londoner (TFL) and UBER transportation may come to the district to pick up or set down pre-booked work. At present the Council is working with Home Affairs on this matter. In the case of assertiveness controls, all UBER or FLF vessels in the district without pre-ordered employment are encouraged to return to the area in which they are registered.

As a result of this greater implementation by the Council and the law enforced, the number of TFL and UBER cars in the district has decreased. If you have any questions or would like to have a discussion, please contact the Specialist Licensing Officer on 01727 296164.
