Personal Light Jet

A personal beam of light

Stratos is now courageously going with a new, very light jet where others have kicked and failed. They can be known as micro jets, staff jets and mini jets. Light jets are also known as entry-level jets, VLJs or personal jets and used to be called "microjets".

This is the world's first very light single-engine private jet.

Since 1984 Cirrus Aircraft has been producing and marketing private aircraft. For $369,000, Cirrus sells the SR20 and $499,000 for the SR22. Cirrus' offer is part of the "Very Light Jet Market", which is gaining momentum.

In December 2016, Cirrus delivered its first Cirrus Aircraft Vision Jet SF50, the world's first private single-engine jet, after being FAA approved in October 2016. Cirrus reportedly now has more than 600 orders with $100,000 in deposit for its new SF50 Personal Jet. Employing 800 staff, the organization unveiled the SF50 at its new $12 million, 68,000-square-foot Factory Service Center in Duluth, Minnesota.

The Cirrus Vision Jet incorporates a Garmin G3000 dashboard known as the Cirrus Perspective Touch. Each week, Cirrus staff build a Vision SF50 Jet. Vision Jet SF50 is offered at a basic cost of $400,000 to $2.5 million with added functionality. Every Cirrus model comes with a full airplane and the Vision Jet is also fitted with a slide.

Below is a short footage of the Vision Jet SF50 in action.

Extremely light jet insurance

Whoever speaks, the very light jet or VLJ will either alter the way travellers travel, or it will lag behind the towering projection of its sponsors and become just the new entry-level personal jet. At the end of the 90s, other businessmen and airlines began to adopt his way of thought and developed a new class of small aircraft, offering about half a tens of passengers for less than $1 million.

The journey was long, but Eclipse Aviation began shipping the first FAA-certified FAA aircraft in early 2007. These are the first genuine steps to confuse the many criticisms of this new way of personal travelling. Cessna was the first company to fully certificate a VLJ (its Citation Mustang), but it did not fall into supplies after certifying.

Spectrum, Adam, Cirrus, Diamond and Embraer are other vendors who develop and manufacture a VLJ for VLJs. Also Spectrum was not in a hurry to be the first, but is engaged with its Independence S-33 and is excited about the VLJ's bright years. "And I think it will do for personal aviation what mobile phone technologies have done for phones or the information web has done for information," says Stefano Sturlese, European CEO of Spectrum Aeronautics.

" The question of whether VLJ clusters will obscure the sky, whether they will carry local VLJ users in an aerial taxicab roll, will remain to be seen, but potential VLJ fleet carriers in the United States and Europe are confident that they can make the viability of such service work, and that travellers will accept this option to travel and the increasingly unpleasant experiences of the carrier, even if it will mean traveling with foreigners in the immediate vicinity, often without a toilet.

DayJet, an US company, will be the first to fly into the sky with its "per-seat, on-demand" aerial taxis. Further related topics that have sparked a vivid debate during the development of the MLJs are piloting capabilities, education and cover. Professionals on corporate aircraft and full-size jet crew have voiced concerns about shares of the stratosphere with owning aircraft owners who may have previously been flying solely reciprocating aircraft.

FlightSafety has been registered by Cessna, who has dissociated herself from the VLJ concept by calling the Mustang her "entry-level jet". "A US think tank believes that the VLJ developers' bright forecasts have fueled the airlines' move to finance aeronautical infrastructures with royalties, as the predicted hords of these small aircraft will require space and airstrip slot numbers that are already considered scarce.

The General Airlines respondents argue that the reasoning is falsified because similar to corporate jetliners, a VLJ will mainly be operated from peripheral aerodromes and not from congested metropolitan hub locations, which are the main cause of much of the present traffic jams in America. Although the on-demand version per se does not meet some expectation, the VLJ has a brilliant fortune as a less expensive jet operation ticketing option for those jet holders for whom the purchase of a new private or corporate jet was previously unattainable.
