Take a taxi at the Gare de L'Est - Paris Forum

What kind of way out or what kind of road should I look for when leaving the train yard to get 2 taxis for our group to get to our theater? Is it also a long way and many paces to get to the curb for the taxi? Last year I had had a poor time at Gare du Nord because I didn't know which of the many ways out to take a taxi on a wet night.

Thanks for any help you can give to help navigation this town. Coming from your platforms into the central part of the train yard, stop and look in each lane to see the taxi signs. Only fly in one way when you know where to go or try your northern adventure again.

Climb into the organised taxi line and take only an authorised Parisian taxi. A few months ago I was in Gare D'Est and there is a lot of long-term work outside the train yard, especially on the right side when you get off the train. Remember cabs stop outside the train depot.

It is not a long stroll, one only passes recently erected malls and railway checkouts. Altogether about 75 meters and everything at the same height as the platform, so you don't have to be afraid. I didn't take a taxi myself, as I usually go directly to Gare Du Nord, which is less than 10 minutes walking distance from Gare D'Est.

Scottiemom, the front door is located at "rue 8 May 1945" and Boulevard Strasbourg, if you take the sign to this turn-off, you should have no trouble to find a taxi as they are located in the front patio. And I also noted (a few month ago) that there are moving stairs that go from the subway rails to road levels.

There are not many stairs from the principal plane rails to the road, only the kerbstone in front of the railway depot to go down to the road.
