Reservations that are covered by the following cannot be bought on the JAL website.

What routes can be bought? Routes that come under ALL 1 to 3 of the following items can be bought on the JAL website. Certain reservations that involve travel with travel with JMB Rewards cannot be made. Tickets that remain open and without a travel route cannot be reserved and bought. Routes from outside Japan cannot be bought.

This includes the routes considered "via Japan" by the USAs. It is possible that even if a route drops below 1 to 3, the buy may not be possible for a reason that the system cannot automatically calculate. Routes from outside Japan can be bought and reserved by visiting JAL's global sites.

Tariffs that cannot be bought on the JAL website can be bought below. The purchase must be made by 14:00 the following business day if the first flight on the route leaves in the mornings from an international destination other than Tokyo (Haneda), Tokyo (Narita), Nagoya (Chubu) or Osaka (Kansai).

Purchasing can be done through our Call Centre. The sending of e-mails and e-tickets may be subject to delays due to various factors. You will receive the travel plan/receipt of the e-ticket by e-mail to the specified e-mail adress. Please printout the e-ticket route/receipt and present it at check-in at the international airports. Modifications to bought ticket may not be possible due to tariffs.

Although the tariff rules allow a modification, processing charges may be incurred and it may be necessary to pay a differential fee. Changes to reservations can be made on the JAL website. Post sale cancelations are subject only to a cancel or return fee. Ticket are not negotiable. It is not possible to modify the name on the ticket after it has been issued.
