Merger of ASL and JetNiederlande Privatjetbetrieb
JetNetherlands and ASL merge to form one of Europe's biggest commercial jets companies. After one year of negotiation, a new JetNet Alliance Group was established as a result of the signature. Founded in Belgium in 1997, ASL has an Eindhoven based branch in the Netherlands.
More than 20 corporate jets are managed. Founded in 2001, JetNetherlands has branches in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. There are 14 corporate jets in service. The ASL and JetNetherlands maintain their own identity and are operating separately under their Belgian and Dutch AOCs respectively. It will have direct flight connections to over 30 corporate jets, among them Beechcraft King Airs, Piaggio Avanti, various Cessna Citation, Falcon 2000, Bombardier Challenger 805 and Embraer Legacy 600.
JetNetherlands receives third Piaggio Avanti
JetNetherlands received its third Piaggio P280 Avanti on 28 May when the plane arrived in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, after a handover from Tianjin, China, where the plane was previously used. Eventually, the plane will be stationed in Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT), Belgium, but will initially stay in Rotterdam for a few week period for servicing.
JetNiederlande has already been included in the AOC (Air Operator Certificate) of JetNiederlande. This will be administered and run on the instructions of its owners and will also be available to the charters community as soon as the operations of the aeroplane commence (expected in 2 to 3 weeks).
