Multiple Airlines Booking

The majority of my trips are long-haul with more than one carrier - this is very widespread. When everything is on a single ticked, you should still be cared for if a plane is missing because one of your aircraft has been late, etc. One of the advantages of booking with a serious third person directly with the airline(s) in some circumstances is what you see.

Either JAL or Americans will resell these services to you, but they will use code shares with their assignment of rates for the affiliate services. It is quite possible that (let's say) AA has started its allocations from low cost JL flight ticket and viceversa. However, a third person may fix a price for the stocks of both airlines.

There are only advantages and no disadvantages if you have a domestic tickets instead of code shares. So the only problem can be when something happens and you have to get involved with Expedia and you have to hopefully their call centre agents know what they are doing. I would prefer to use a serious Full Scout, but Expedia is still serious and the only on-line booking agency I would rely on.

In a similar circumstance, I had difficulty booking places early, no big thing, except that I'm big and landed on a tight spot. Both American Airlines and Japan Airlines have a derivative financial arrangement known as a JV, which goes one stage further than a code share in relation to collaboration.

Specifically, this means that each carrier should serve the other carrier's clients on the route on which it cooperates. If your JAL flight is late, for example, JAL employees can help you modify your JAL flight (and they probably did so proactively).

I' ve got two tickets on my own family: and Japan Airlines & AA. Both AA partners were unable to choose their seat during on-line check-in. But since all flight bookings were made by US airlines, I don't think they would have charged extra if they didn't catch up.
