Arlington taxi services are governed and supervised by Section 25. One of the county code. Arlington taxis can only be billed at the rate specified in the Arlington Taxi Cab Regulation. Taximeters are checked at least once a year to ensure that they are correct. An Arlington taxi driver must have a good experience in taxiing. Potential and actual taxi riders are all subject to U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation crime screening and may not have any applicable federal indictments.

Arlington taxi operators must have and present a current taxi operating licence. In order to obtain a driver's licence, a future taxi rider from Arlington must undergo a test of his skills in terms of regional geographies, legislation and taxi rules managed by the Arlington County Police. Taxiicab operating licences may be waived or withdrawn for breaches of the Car Act or a penal sentence for fraudulent use.

The Arlington Taxis must undergo an additional periodic thorough periodic check by the Arlington County Police in order to complete the state car check. An Arlington taxi will be taken out of operation immediately if it is found that it is not working properly. All Arlington taxis must not be older than 10 years.

For all Arlington taxis there must be at least $300,000 cover for bodily injuries and $50,000 cover for the removal of belongings. Arlington taxis and chauffeurs are all linked to a business whose identities are clearly visible on the car. Arlington and other locations are not authorised to control any TNC, its driver or cars.
