Taxiicab operating licences may be waived or withdrawn for breaches of the Car Act or a penal sentence for fraudulent use.

The Arlington Taxis must undergo an additional periodic thorough periodic check by the Arlington County Police in order to complete the state car check. An Arlington taxi will be taken out of operation immediately if it is found that it is not working properly. All Arlington taxis must not be older than 10 years.

For all Arlington taxis there must be at least $300,000 cover for bodily injuries and $50,000 cover for the removal of belongings.
