US internal fare (interstate fare and "" overseas"" fare to/from US territories) were de-regulated by the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978, Public Law 95-504. US airlines do not deposit their home fare and regulations with the ministry. The Department has exempt US and non US airlines from the legal obligation to levy passengers' flights in most major global airports.

However, operators are still obliged to submit fares containing some "general rules", such as those concerning transport terms, free luggage allowance, adhesion and transport of disabled people. Such registrations will be checked for compliance with relevant governmental interest regulations, department regulations and guidelines, and current internal conventions.
