Alaska Airlines was established in 1932 and began on a stretch between Anchorage and Bristol Bay, Alaska. In 1934, a fusion with Star Air Service took place, and while the company was changing several fold, the name Alaska Airlines was adopted. Further fusions in the 1960' with Alaska Coastal-Ellis and Cordova Airlines further extended the itineraries.
The Alaska Airlines company was also part of the project to build the trans-Alaska pipeline.
Alaska Airlines: Suspenseful Changes
In the past few months, the airline companies have achieved an important landmark. "In the early morning of April 25th, we achieved this objective - a website, a portable application, a check-in expertise and a client service centre - mainly as a team," says Daniel Chun, Director of Sales, Community & Public Relations at Alaska Airline.
Now Alaska has the most non-stop destination on the west coast of an air carrier and provides a non-stop destination to 7 of the 10 major Hawaiiites. And, according to Chun, with 15 airlines, they can now take their passengers to more than 900 locations around the globe. Even with the "new" Alaska Airlines visitors can count on some changes.
We' re modernising our staterooms, adding local inspiration to our menus, broadening our range of drinks and premium conveniences and upgrade to quick, dependable on-board Wi-Fi satellites," says Chun. An Alaska Airlines program also features one of the most lavish fidelity schemes in the aviation community, and one of its trademarks is the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card.
