To book the cheapest flight of all time

When you' re like me, boarding a plane is a lawsuit. My computer monitor has been jammed for a few days with ten different screens and compares 12 different airline companies, six different airport, five different departures, three different date sets - you get the image. Despite the bustle, I am waiting too long to make the reservation and end up contenting myself with a not-so-good deals, but I am in despair as I go next time.

But all this was changing with the introduction of a new app that was released in January of this year. "The Hopper team works around the clock to research your flights, compare fares and examine historic trend to determine what the best fare will be and when you should make it," says Patrick Surry, Hopper's senior analyst.

"Typically a single individual will be spending about two weeks exploring air rates, and during that period air rates will usually increase by 5 to 15 percent," Surry says. "Not only does Hopper identify the best offers, it also assists consumers in understanding how rates work, what they can look for from tariffs and what they can think is a good rate for a particular journey.

" Our primary objective is to make the purchase procedure of a plane a simple and enjoyable one. This is how it works: Once you have entered your destination and your departures city, you will be taken to a display like this (below): You can see the price spread across different data in a clearly arranged, colour-coded diary (green indicates the best rates, blue the most expensive).

As soon as you have selected your data, you will be taken to the "Price Forecast" page (below). This page shows you how the actual prices are developing compared to what might be available in the near-term. It' gonna tell you, "You should make your booking now. During the last 3 week we haven't seen such a low price" or "You should be waiting for a better rate, but make your booking before February 21st".

" Even forecasts fluctuation in the next few months and sketches your possible saving or loss if you are waiting. Look at this journey. "Once the application is chosen, it monitors all real-time fare information around your journey and sends you alerts about fare changes and the timing of booking," Surry states. Use the Tips page to guide you through a variety of different choices that can help you avoid a dollar - or a few hundred - if you consider a different international destination, a different departures or arrivals times, and different dates (below).

So, if you were looking for an excuse for booking this holiday, here it is.
