Isle of Man (ICSA)
The ICSA is the membership and qualification agency for directors and corporate secretaries, internal attorneys and other government and regulatory experts. A Chartered Secretary's unique responsibility varies according to the task at hand, the scale of the organization and the industry in which it is active.
Tasks may, however, include: providing advice to the executive committee on making decisions effectively, providing advice on legislative and regulatory affairs and risk mitigation; designing and administering policies to meet legislative and legislative mandates and identify areas for enhanced good corporate governance; communicating with the executive committee, shareholders and trustees, preparing and delivering statements and sessions, and working with accountants, attorneys and accountants; providing guidance on key company service delivery items such as contract negotiations, finances, accounts, insurance and real estate; providing interpretation and advice on fiscal and reporting; making changes to the applicable policies; and providing advice on appropriate audit and control procedures.
