Private Jet Price

Price for a private jet

Prices for private air transport depend on a number of factors, including aircraft availability, landing charges at airports and time between flights. There are a number of factors that determine the price of chartering a private jet. What does a private jet cost? No. Long-haul routes at aerodromes, late departures and declining seating and leg room in aircraft have made business aviation an uncomfortable task.

Here's an option: fly the private jet. This used to be a specialty reserved only for the ultra-rich, but now more private jet passengers are taking to the skies because they are becoming more and more affordable.

The purchase or charter of an aircraft can be very costly. And the price of a brand-new private jet is between $3 million and $90 million. Although used jetliners are less costly, they still run into tens of thousands of dollars. Gulfstream G-650 is the most costly private jet on the open commercial jet scene with a strike price of 70 million US dollar.

The price can rise to several hundred million dollar with extra features and adjustments. A private jet's price is only a small part of the acquisition price. Propellant is one of the highest expenses for jet operators. Aircraft with bigger propellant tank for long-haul flight need more propellant.

There' only about 11,000 private jet holders in the United States. In view of the cost, it is easily understood why so few choose private property. Hiring a private jet is much more costly than a scheduled plane, but still much less costly than purchasing your own jet.

Private jet fares are calculated by the hours. Fares depend on jet capacity, duration and number of passenger. Costs typically range from $1,674 to $8,640 per class per person per day to rent a private jet. Hiring a jet for a whole week-end can be $100,000 or more.

Except if you are spending at least 150 hrs a year on flies, hiring is probably a better alternative than purchasing. A further possibility to travel on a private jet without owning one is to buy a private jet as an investment in a private airline member. Here, instead of hiring the whole jet, locals are paying for a one-seater aircraft seating.

Membership in these Rotary clubs starts at US$1,750 per monthly, while travel arrangements that allow individuals to travel an infinite number of flights are US$9,700 or more per year.
