Going on a journey with London's new electrotaxi

Now the first fully certificated electro taxi can be hoisted on the roads of London. London Express's TX eCity London taxi is being rolled out in stages, with only a few of the new cabs remaining today. The LEVC is hoping, however, that the number of electro taxi services in London will rise to several hundred by January.

As a TX taxicab traveller I was able to travel through London. The London cabs are known to be noisy. On the other hand, the TX-Taxi is silent and silent. Cab is roomy and larger than it looks from the outside. One of the best things about being a guest in one of these cabs is the panorama sliding roof, which allows a view of the sky when looking up.

It allows you to choose how hot or cold you want the cab to be with the air conditioning near the front doors, and there is a key you push to talk to the cab owner, which can be turned off for data protection reasons. You can pay in hard currency or by credit cards (also contactless) and the rates are the same as for fuel cabs.

Urgent compliance with legal requirements to fight environmental degradation is pushing efforts towards more environmentally friendly cabs in London.

Transport for London (TfL) has a date of 1 January 2018 by which all recently registered cabs must be emission-free. By the end of 2018, however, 150 fast loading points for cabs have been installed by now. In Coventry, where the Elektrotaxi is produced, LEVC has opened a factory worth 325 million pounds and it is the first of its kind in the UK.

From now on, the cabs will be available in London and will be launched in international stores at the beginning of 2018.
