What does it take to spend a year travelling around the world? You use them, they don't charge you anything for them. Now, in year 5 of full-time trips, I can't believe that we traveled so inexpensively in the first year. This amount was for 4 persons and you will see below how long it took and how much trip we got for our budget.

So, how much do you need to go around the world? Well, it up to you how you gonna go? Well, how much does it take to get around the world really has no answers. In a year, where did we go on a world tour? About 6 week we stayed in KL and Penang before we flew to Bangkok (my man, Koch, was not with us during this period, so it was a bit cheaper). Meanwhile it was November, we spend Christmas in Great Britain before we make a trip to New York.

Before we landed in Florida we made a trip through the USA and briefly in Canada. We had a budget for the trip? Our estimate was that S.E. Asia would be about $40 to $50/day, and that was possible. While we began to go as cheap as possible, over the years we became very relaxed with our wallets.

Travel costs around the world are offset over a period of years, some of them are very costly, for example in London, we have compensated these costs by much longer and less frequent trips to cheaper destinations. Have we had a free trip? and for some fucking time in Great Britain.

In the UK we had the free use of a familiy vehicle. We had many free entries to Themeparks and other tourist sites because of our blogs, recall, this was year 1, we were very new blogs and yet we got these benefits. I do not include the mortgages we still pay in Australia, our renters cover these costs. I do not even take into account the loss of profits in our travelling expenses around the world. Everything we made ( and spend ) through the blogs is contained in this number. And as you'll see in the statement above, we've had some big issues, as well as new laptop computers and camera models, the real costs of travelling are much lower. Slightly more is needed for Malaysia, India and Central America. It can be extremely inexpensive, but the entrance fees to tourist destinations are incredibly high, so if you see all the historical places, it's not inexpensive, just jump over them and it's extremely inexpensive.

West Europe, Singapore and Australia costs a great deal. Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovenia are much less costly than Western Europe. In order to maximize your travelling expenses, you obviously need to invest more of your free times in the cheapest places, less in the more costly ones. If you are not only going to waste more of your free hours in the cheapest places, but also less in the more costly ones, be aware of the following.

Dormitories are inexpensive for single people, for familys dormitories are almost always more costly. Privately owned rooms are more than a large dormitory and you pay for 4 adults bed. Children discounts in youth resorts are rare and inexpensive hotel and guesthouse rates are usually lower. A hotel with a good free bed and breakfast could help you safe your meal time.

Attempt to negotiate transportation charges. Use Hotels Combinéed to compare rates for a number of reservation pages at once. It was always like this when we began to travel, but the web has almost completely gained the upper hand. Register for Skyscanner's price fluctuation alerts.
