Here is a little travel information that will help you with your travel plans. Please reconfirm your reservations one week prior to travel by calling 907-571-1245 or 571-1445 between 8:30a and 4:30p or you may email us at: iliamnaairtaxi@starband.net. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes but we do block them at 1 hour. Our baggage area is limited due to the size of the aircraft we operate. The allowable baggage weight per person is 70 pounds maximum. Baggage length may not be greater than 36" and rod cases will not be accepted over 5' in length. If you are on a fly out hunting or fishing trip, you may send your extra gear by parcel post, priority mail, or UPS in advance and we will hold it at our hangar until your arrival. Be sure and allow plenty of time for shipping. One suggestion on baggage, if you need to use the extra large size duffle due to piece count on the larger carriers, have smaller bags inside that can be shipped separately from Anchorage with us. Remember, ours is 70 pounds total and we would prefer several smaller pieces for loading purposes. If you are transporting firearms, they must be unloaded. Hard sided rifle cases will be left at our Anchorage office so be sure to include a soft gun case or plastic gun boots are also acceptable. Hazardous material such as bear mace, fuel from camp stoves or strike anywhere matches are prohibited on our passenger flights. It is punishable federal offense to have them in your baggage. We are located in the Signature Flight Support Hangar at 3600 Old International Airport Road. It's easy to find... heading west on International Airport Road, turn left on Jewell Lake Road and take the first right onto Old International Airport Road. Signature is the 3rd hangar from the end and our office is located in the center of the building. We will assist you with your baggage when you arrive at our office. You need to check in at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Baggage checked later then 15 minutes prior to departure may not make the flight.
