DOSAN presents new DA30-5 article with new variable spring system, enhanced cabin and enhanced telematic platforms.

On Tuesday, Doosan presented new irons, telematic technologies and a new sponsoring at a media conference in New York City. There was also a new folding dumper and a reinforced telematic deck to discuss. DA30-5 is an upgrade to the 30-tonne DA30-5 with a new front wheel mount and back wheel tandem similar to the company's DA40 joint.

Self-levelling hydrogas-operated front wheel attachment provides more riding convenience and smooth running, especially when the mattress is empty. Self-levelling front wheel attachment also allows the operator to adjust the vehicle's handling properties by setting the load. Over the long term, the variable spring system and smooth drive are more beneficial for long term production, says Aaron Kleingartner, Global Sales Director.

And Doosan also enhanced the capability of its uniquely rear-axle double-axle double-axle double-axle double-axle double-axle double-axle double-axle driveline by taking over the designs and manufacturing not off the peg, but in-house. In the new styling, a joint fluid is also used in the front and back differentials to reduce the complexity of stock and maintenance time. User convenience has brought many of the changes to the DA30-5's cabin designs, says Kleingartner.

And Doosan has also equipped the car controller with a more efficient CPU for quicker switching between menu options. Electronical mirrors are fitted as standard, and Doosan has the cabin wiring so that the client can install a second reversing or side vision system if required. Like earlier DA30 generation models, Doosan held the hinges behind the rotating ring to ensure even load balancing even at maximum steer angles, and a free-swinging back mounted double wheeler for even load balancing on all six castors.

Due to the forward turning point and the inclined tail end there is no need for electronical tractor controls, according to the manufacturer. Since 2008, Doosan has had a system for data transmission, but the new DoosanConnect system offers more machine-to-machine communications, intelligent machines and system telemonitoring, says Kleingartner. Using a double communications policy, it sends and receives information via mobile or terrestrial signals, selecting which device is available so that you don't have to be concerned about your telecom system failing when working outside the mobile area.

It reports vehicle fleets state, machinery locations, running times, consumption, fuel consumption, DEF values, idling times vs. working times, fault code, motor and hydraulics fluid temperature, loads and weight, and transported tonnes. They can also install geographic and temporal fencing to limit where and when a particular piece of equipment can be used.

Various users can adapt the press setting to their operational setting. The use of Telematik significantly improves vehicle fleets, says Kleingartner. "It will also help administrators educate users to use the machines more effectively by supervising the four different working modes," he says. In addition, workshops and engineers can see all key parameters of a press, upcoming maintenance schedules and error messages from a single source, says Kleingartner.

Also, when an user reports a malfunction with a particular piece of equipment, technicians can often use remote diagnostics to download the necessary tooling and parts before leaving the scene to fix the part. Doing so can help saving valuable engineering effort because technicians don't have to travel all the way to the engine, diagnosing in the fields, and then driving all the way back to the parts and toolroom.

The subscription is free for 36 month and can be transferred to the next client when you resell your equipment. On Tuesday, Doosan formally announces a multi-year relationship with the New York Yankees, expanding Doosan's current sponsoring pipeline, which encompasses Major League Baseball and the UK Open Championships.
