Established in 1970, Airbus Industrie stepped into the business aviation sector in 1997 with the launch of the business jet Airbus A 319.

The Longitude and Hemisphere jet engines will also be available to Cessna during the manufacturing stage, which will facilitate the company's entry into the long-range jet world.
Established in 1929 by Marcel Dassault, the Spanish firm was first known for the production of army aircraft before moving into business aeronautics in 1963. Its first business jet, the Mystére 20, was later converted into the Falcon 20 to be used outside France.
Dassault subsequently published a number of other Falcon jets, among them the Falcon 2000, the Falcon 900, the Falcon 7X and the Falcon 8X, which are the Group's flagship ultra-long-range jets and come within easy reach of the Gulfstream and Bombardier fleets. The Embraer are the new children in the Business Jet bloc.
Founded in 1969 by the Brasilian authorities to manufacture airplanes for civil and military use, it entered the domestic aerospace industry in 2002, specializing in turbo-prop airplanes. Following the publication of the Legacy airplane, their favourite mid-range airplane, Embraer later developed a series of very lightweight jetliners, the Phenom 100 and 300, followed by the ultra-long Lineage 1000.
It is considering extending its ultra-long-haul operations to compete with the Bombardier and Gulfstream markets. Gulfstream has been one of the major actors in the commercial aerospace industry since its founding in 1958. Grumman, which later became known as Gulfstream and shifted its emphasis to business jetliners.
The Gulfstream is known for its large long-range aircraft such as the 500, 550, 650 and 650ER, the latter with a cruising distance of up to 7,500 sea mile being the widest and quickest business jet in the air. Launch of the new generation 500 and 600 is scheduled for 2018 and Gulfstream State will take the long-range jet class to a whole new dimension of convenience and performance.
