Could private jet journeys really be payable? A remarkable example is JetSuite, which has just launched a new utility that allows passengers to determine the overall score in their purse. Similar to fare aggregates used by good deal-seekers, the utility will compare different JetSuite and its competitors' flight choices, but with the additional cost part.

Among the most recent publications was a $536 travel for a four-person aircraft from Las Vegas to Monterey, California, which equates to a price of $134 per capita when you fill the air. However, Wilcox says that there is no need for memberships to take full benefit of JetSuite's business. "We see ourselves as the southwest airline of the industry," says Alex Wilcox, President and Chief Executive Officer of JetBlue and Virgin Atlantic.

In Wilcox's view, JetSuite has its own aircraft portfolio, which comprises the four-seater Phenom 100 lightweight jet and a new range of WI-FI-enabled Citation CJ3s offering six seats, unlike Jet brokerage firms, which act as intermediaries and do not own aircraft. While JetSuite may be the classical "industry disruptor," says Wilcox, several others are fighting for the award; one of the newest, an innovating member of Wheels Up, is a JetSuite affiliate.

It works like this: members prepay $15,750 to join, which gives them a range of from $3950 per hour for an eight-person aircraft (or $493 per person) that would meet the costs of a flight from New York to Nantucket, for example. Sure, these guys don't charge Spirit Airlines rates, but the benefits (if you can buy them) are numerous: free from congested airplanes, chatty roommates and poor eating - not to speak of the long TSAs.

This may not be cheap, but the photoshoots are certainly cheaper than hiring a real private jet for your own personal image - just think.

There' even a hairdressing and make-up crew on duty to make sure you look suitable for the private jet. When you can fake a private jet photoshoot, who knows what else these experienced flu players could stage.
