In 1961, Gerry and Madelaine Desjardins realized their life-long desire to own and run their own company. Gerry's taxi was borne from these modest beginnings. After Gerry Desjardin's early demise, Gerry's taxi remained in operation under Madelaine's skilled hands until 1997.

This year Madelaine ruled (already in the seventies) that the rigour of managing a thriving taxi business became too much for her. Grudgingly, she put the firm up for selling. It was bought, by another Gerry. On this occasion it was served by Gerry Stasso, a veterinary with thirty years of taxi driving and well known in the area.

Unfortunately in 2006 Gerry Stasso chose to buy Gerry's Taxi for private use. Diana and Stuart had a lot of experiences because they possessed and ran many taxi fleet for more than 35 years. All the new proprietors had extensive knowledge of all aspects of taxi brokering.

Gerry's Taxi's present employees have worked hard to re-introduce it to a new breed of clients. Gerry's Taxi has now evolved and extended our uniquely client care franchise to other regions.
