Today AircraftUL operated its A320-200 in this segment, which was used for the second leg of the daily to Cochin, which was somewhat frustrating as I expected an A321 as it did this a few flights before my trip. Since 4R-ABO is one of the newer narrower Airbus A320s in UL's aircraft family, the delivery was on schedule.

Fitted with IFE, a modernised cab and really cushy seating for such a short-haul trip with ample leg room and high level of comforts. Our staff was highly welcoming, kind and courteous and welcomed all our guests with the typical "Ayubowan" greeting and the characteristic SriLankan smiles, but due to the type of aircraft, the distance, and the time of less than an hour and 15 minutes, they did not make much of an impression.

On 4R-ABO, 4R-ABO seating was above expectations, as I anticipated a base seating position with restricted inclination and extra equipment, but was highly pleased with a 29 " inclination, which was much more than that. I was able to get the 12A one of the best seating on an A320-200, directly above the wings.

There was a free pillow supplied with a helmet, which was completely unanticipated for a short-haul trip. Eating, which was the most horrible part of the trip as rice and mixed vegetable were consumed, was stale and quite frustrating for a full serviced luncheon followed by the customary cup of hot water or coffe and pastry for desert, which was quite tasty!

We landed in Cochin smoothly and on schedule.
