Between 2000 and 2010, the EADS emblem combines the emblems of the DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG (a four-beam star) and Aérospatiale-Matra (a bent arrow) mergers, removing these items and choosing a new typeface with 3-D tint. These fonts were used in the Airbus Group NV (2014-2015) and Airbus Group SE (2015-2017), then Airbus SE logos: the Airbus line began with the Airbus A400, the world's first two-aisle twin-engine plane.

The Airbus NSR (New Short-Range Aircraft) is considering a substitute for the Airbus A 320 Family. However, Airbus decided to improve the current Airbus design of the Airbus A320 with new single jersey wings and to work on aerodynamic enhancements. Airbus in June 2013 announces that together with baggage manufacturer Rimowa and IT company T-Systems it is jointly designing a line of "intelligent suitcases" called Bag2Go for passengers travelling by plane.

Airbus became more and more interested in the design and sale to the defence aerospace industry in the latter part of the 90s. The project started with two major areas of development: air-to-air refueling with the Airbus A310 MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport) and the Airbus A330 MRTT and air-to-air transport with the A400M. In 2013, airliners accounted for 67% of the Group's overall turnover.

A Greek enterprise specialising in the study, engineering, production and service of UAVs for air and ground targets, EADS 3 Sigma is the world's leading manufacturer of UAVs. Airbus Military, which produced tankers, transportation and operational jets, Eurocopter, the world's leading provider of helicopters, and Astrium supplied air, ground, naval and civil safety equipment such as Ariane, Galileo and Cassidian.

EADS was a Eurofighter and MBDA rocket system supplier via Cassidian. Formerly known as Eurocopter, Airbus Helicopters is a manufacturer and service contractor of helicopters. Helicopters, Inc. Airbus Cargo Airline manages the transport of Airbus parts between different locations.

Airbus in September 2014 contemplated the divestiture of Dassault and several other entities to concentrate on aviation and space. There are several Airbus production facilities for different types and different market segments. However, Airbus has a number of other production facilities in various sites across Europe, which reflects its creation as a syndicate. The use of the Airbus Beluga, a modern freighter that can transport whole parts of the body, is an innovative way of solving the problems of transporting parts between the various production facilities and the assembling facilities.

Boeing, which upgraded 4 747-400s to carry the 787 component, also examined this option. For Airbus, it is an important market in which to sell planes as well as to supply. Of Airbus' worldwide Airbus fleet of approximately 5,300 jets, ranging from the 107-seater A318 to the 565-passenger A380, 2,000 are ordered by US based clients.

Airbus estimates that US subcontractors that support an estimated 120,000 workplaces deserved an annual volume of 5.5 billion US dollars in 2003. As of 3 October 2006, just after admitting further delay in the Airbus 380 program, just after admitting further delay, Airbus would lose 4.8 billion in 2010 profits, Euronext's Paris Stock Exchange-traded shares in Euronext were exposed after exceeding the 10?% deficit threshold.

Tony Yengeni, former head of the South African National Congress's lashing committee, was sentenced in 2003 for cheating in connection with an armaments transaction with South Africa in which EADS played a significant role[95] with a value of approximately 5 billion US dollars. The BBC said that BBC had acknowledged that it had " assisted " some 30 high-ranking civil servants in the procurement of luxurious cars, among them General Siphiwe Nyanda, head of defense forces.

96 ] In March 2003, the Southern African government fully retracted the charge of bribing the former EADS Südafrika director. 97 ] In September 2004, the Public Prosecutor's Department in Munich formally passed a resolution dismissing the actions for corruption brought against him for his virginity in connection with the sale of the aforementioned vehicle (file number 572 Js 39830/01).

June 2, 2006 saw the resignation of Co-CEO Noël Forgeard and AirbusEO Gustav Humbert following the June 2006 decision to delay A380 delivery for a further six month. Fordard was one of several senior managers who exercise share option rights in November 2005 and March 2006.

It and 21 other senior managers are currently under review to determine whether they were aware of the delay in the Airbus A380 programme, which led to a 26% decline in Group shares at the time of publication on ? . In April 2006, the state-owned Caisse de Dépots et Consignations (CDC) acquired part of Lagardère's 7. 5?% shareholding in the EADS, thus enabling Lagardère to partly avoid the June 2006 loss.

Former Boeing CEO Harry Stonecipher in July 2004 charged Airbus with misusing a 1992 EU-US treaty that provides discipline for government assistance for large civilian jets. The Airbus receives repayable start-up investments (RLI) from the EU government, referred to by the US as "start-up assistance", whereby the funds are repaid with interest and undetermined licence fees, but only if the plane is a business venture.

Airbus alleges that this system fully complies with the 1992 Accord and WTO rulings. Those mortgages are kept at a minimal interest level corresponding to the costs of taking out State credits plus 0,25 per cent, below the commercial interest level available to Airbus without State aid. Airbus argues that it has paid back more than $6.7 billion to EU administrations since the signing of the EU-US deal in 1992 and that this is 40% more than it actually has.
