Trumpf Attorney Michael Cohen has companies that run 22 taxis in Chicago.

Donald Trump's president's own lawyer Michael D. Cohen, whose firm attacked the FBI on Monday after confirming that he paid payer Pornostar Stormy Daniels to remain silent about their supposed connection to Trump, has five companies operating 22 cabs in Chicago. Dozens of cabs in Cohen' s possession were listed for unnamed breaches of municipal regulations, according to notes kept on-line by the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, which controls them.

However, a spokesperson for the Municipal Authority said she would not reveal any information about Cohen's taxis, without a formally requested record of the injuries, submitted under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, which gives the municipality at least five workingdays to produce a record. Mr. Cohen is a former associate of Symon Garber, a former Russia resident who was friends with Mayor Richard M. Daley's Patrick Daley more than 15 years ago and became Chicago's greatest taxi driver.

He also runs a family of taxis in New York City, where he once ran taxis that belonged to Cohen. Cohens taxis don't seem to have been part of the chestnut-brown taxi family that Garber runs in Chicago under the Chicago Carriage Cab and Royal 3 CCC taxi name.

The Cohen holds 22 diamond cabs - the metallic licence affixed to each taxi's dome - through five companies he founded in Illinois. Cohen' s Rush Hour Cab Corp. and Love Bug Cab Corp. operate 10 cabs. Though the other dozen are associated with Dispatch Cab, showing notes show that an official of this firm said he felt Cohens cabs are no longer in service because of urban injuries.

These taxis are the property of Cohen's Tailgater Cab Corp., Gridlock Cab Corp. and Fender Bender Cab Corp. Mr. Cohen and his spouse owed more than $53,000 in tax on the 32 New York City cab Medaillons they have, reports the New York Daily News. Cohen' s New York bureau also searched for commercial documents about his cab company, the Associated Press said, quoting a man close to the inquiry.

Mr Cohen has confirmed that he paid Daniels $130,000 of his own cash before the president's elections to keep her from revealing her allegations that she had slept with Trump.
