Discounts on Independence Day air ticket sales are offered by Air India.

As India prepares to mark its Independence Day on Wednesday, many carriers have launched offerings to win New Delhi clients. Air India is celebrating Indian Independence Day with special ticket rebates for passengers. Reduced Air Indiasays fare is only available on flight reservations through the airline's website.

Current discounts apply until 15 August for both national and intercontinental travel. You can claim the rebate by typing the promotional key 18INDAY. However, the rebate does not apply to Air India Express, Alliance Air and Air Shares travel. A further airline, AirAsia India, has also developed a specific sales offering for Independence Day.

As part of its Independence Day sales, the carrier offers up to 45 percent discounts on national flights. On AirAsia's Independence Day, the sales of flight ticket can be used as part of the "Buy More, Save More" support programme. The AirAsia Independence Day ticket sales are available for Bengaluru, Calcutta, Amritsar, New Delhi, Ranchi and Hyderabad, including AirAsia's website destination.

AirAsia's air ticket offering is available until 19 August for journeys between 19 February 2019 and 13 August 2019. The AirAsia flight ticket offering precedes the celebration of the 71st centenary of Independence Day. On the other side of the coin, goingAir has prolonged its "Go 8 Festival Sale" programme until 15 August.

GoAir offers up to 1 million seat capacity on home flights at a start fare of Rs1,099. The former full-service provider Jet Airways, which is confronted with the global economic downturn, has also submitted its Independence Day proposal. Passengers are offered a 30% rebate on the basic fare for Business and Premium fare.
