Whilst the city of Seward is relatively small and passable, the wheather can sometimes be a challenging time to get around. Furthermore, Exit Glacier is about 12 nautical miles from the small Seward marina, so it is not very open to those without a car. The Exit Glacier street is closed to cars in cold winters due to a blockage of the state highway.
