Bookings around the world (RWT/CT)

Instead of purchasing separated airfares from one location to another, a much more convenient and sometimes less expensive form of travelling internationally is possible with Round the World (RW) or Circle Trip (CT) ticketing. Round the World or Circle trip ticketing is a ticketing that allows you to go around the world, usually over a one-year time frame and with between three-four and sixteen flight stages.

Functions enable price setting around the world and round trips. Use the following tariff or price options: Computed tomography (CT) for the Circle Travel Route (e.g. FXX/S2CT). RW- and CT-specific tariffs do not fall under a globally IATA defined tariff, since they are carrier-specific special tariffs with a unique tariff components and are stored under a globally defined counter.

TST is marked as auto (FCMI is 0) unless a process overwrite was performed by using another item in the record. RW or CT tariffs require the following route structure: Travellers who wish to begin their voyage from one point in a given destination and end their voyage at another point in the same destination must cover a home leg to the point of departure in order to ensure effective charging.

The return journey from the last point of the route must begin no later than 12 month after leaving from the first point (origin). Please note: Further restrictions for these and other classifications can be defined in the tariff rules. Once the category has been encoded, the system checks it when determining the price of the trip route.

Once the policy is freely formatted, it is your responsability to verify that the route is covered by the policy. Limitations on back-tracking policy set on the basis of the general east-west or west-east driving directions are not taken into account. The RW and CT cannot be linked with other globals in a price query. Price overrun options can be linked with the RW and CT markers if the overrun does not contradict the specified RW/CT tariffs.

You cannot, for example, mix overdrive /B (fare stop) with a price specified by RW; RW is composed of a price element, while /B is a price element composed of several of them. What tariff is chosen? Notice: The performing airline will NOT be used to choose tariffs, but will be reviewed against flight limitations in the tariff rules and may invalidate tariffs for use.

RW and CT specific tariffs can be requested by using the following price entries: Assign the RW or CT to the first flight segments or between the first pairs of cities when you enter the price transactions, according to the input you made. Tariffs specific to RW and CT cannot be linked with other tariffs in one price listing.

The RW and CT cannot be linked with other globals in a price query. The following price answer is generated automatically by FXX/S2CT or FXX/S2,CT,3-5: If an error occurs due to incorrect entries or the use of contradictory entries options, the following error messages are sent back from the central system: Notice: To obtain the RTW tariffs you expect, the price is entered with the RW flag assigned to the first flight stage.

Passenger Name ( "PNR") flight booking with RW specification (can be either FXX/S2RW/R,LON or FXX/S2,RW,3-6/R,LON) generates the following auto price response: This example shows the traveller using a round-the-world (RTW) fares with Star Alliance airlines. WITH THE STAR ALLIANCE AROUND THE WORLD. 18,450 DAILY FLIGHTS, 1,300 FLIGHTS TO DESTINATION, 190 STATES, 28 AIRLINES, 1 ALLIANCE.

Type FQQ1 or FQQ2 to display the different tariffs. When a rate is not submitted in encrypted form, or when a rate other than the one sent back is needed, you can enforce price determination and TST generation using Price Determination by Rates (PBFB). It is recommended to use the /A switch to overwrite the tariff base; this checks the reservation codes but avoids the price overwrite exclusion chart.

Instead, you can use the /L options, but you can refuse prices due to carriers limitations. Please note: If /A or /L options are combined with RW or CT, special policies and exemptions are applied. You can, for example, specify only a single rate base indicator and bypass certain validation tests. If you calculate a particular rate for the Round the World Tour (RW) or the Roundtrip ( CT), or provide it with a ticketing, you can enforce either rate determination or TST generation by using rate determination by rate base with change regulations.

This is useful, for example, if the rate rules were not stored in encrypted form or if you need a different rate than the one sent back. The following exemptions for RW and CT specified tariffs are applicable for RW and CT /L overlaid processing: Even if you valuate the entire trip route, you must make a selection of segments.

Important: Check with the validation carrier to ensure that the tariff is the right one. For example, to enforce the rates specified for RW or CT for the entire trip, enter: On the first page of the system reply, there is an information notice that you must check the tariff regulations manually: Please note: Air ticket charges are shown in the tariff.

It is possible to mix the Zap-off options with the RW and CT keywords.
