Vision Jet meets the expectations of a very lightweight jet at a lower cost than the remainder of the industry. She is less powerful than other similar aircraft - she flies lower, more slowly and with a less roomy cab than other very lightweight aircraft. Zirrus - a U.S.-based OEM that primarily produces general aircraft - has dared to develop turbine-powered aircraft.
Vision SF50 is a "personal jet" and is more suitable for pilots than other very lightweight aircraft like the Citation Mustang or Eclipse 500. The Vision Jet, with its low listing cost and low running cost, is a great move to commercial jet aircraft, especially for pilots.
It has a max cruising distance of 1.200nm/1.300mi/2.222km and can travel from New York to Dallas, London to St. Petersburg or Hong Kong to Bangkok. As a result, the personell jet can be flown up to other very lightweight aircraft such as the Phenom 100E and the Citation Mustang. Williams' F535-5A engine generates 1,800 lbs of thruster and allows the Vision Jet to run at 345mph/482kph.
This single-engine system has the advantage that it is less expensive to run than two, but it also lowers the aircraft's airspeed. Vision Jet is the slower aircraft in the very lightweight jet sector, which means it needs more elapsed travel to get to your goal.

Because of the booth dimensions, there is no toilet. Though it is usual for smaller aircraft not to have a toilet, some very lightweight aircraft do - like the HondaJet HA-420.
Vision Jet also has the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) - a chute that can be used in an incident such as an engine outage. Skydiving controls the speed of the aircraft and is designed to decrease the force in the event of an accident. This is not a function you will ever want to use, but it does provide a high level of safety for every use of the aircraft.
In spite of these characteristics, the cab is still small and does not have the same look and feel as the Phenom 100E. Ownership and operation costs are what make the Vision Jet stand out on the open commercial jet scene. A new aircraft has a listed fare of $1.96 million, $750,000 less expensive than the Citation M2 and over $2 million less expensive than a new Phenom 100E or HondaJet HA-420.
Not only is the purchasing amount appealing - the running expenses are also significantly lower than the competitors. Conklin & de Decker figures show varying operational expenses of $676 per hour-almost half the total operational expenses of competing Embraer, Cessna and HondaJet aircraft.
The reason for this is that the Vision Jet has only one engine - in comparison to the two normally found in very lightweight aircraft - and its low overall mass. Vision Jet is also designed for single pilots, i.e. only one single plane is needed to operate the aircraft. Smaller aircraft are usually equipped with this feature, which cuts down operational costs by eliminating the need to employ a first mover.
Not surprisingly, Vision Jet users can control the aircraft themselves and further reduce aircraft running costs by not having to employ a single aviator. GAMA says that 22 Vision SF50s were shipped in 2017, so that the total number of vehicles in the company's worldwide vehicle fleets will be 36 by January 2018.
There are no Vision Jet's on the used aircraft list at the moment of the letter - a clear indication that the aircraft is loved by present day aircraft operators. It occupies a unique slot in the sector, and with the powerful assistance of Cirrus General aviation clients switching to bigger aircraft, it looks encouraging for salvage value.
