The stock of used business aircraft is continuing to decline.

Stocks of used business jet turbines increased across the front line in the first three months, but business jets shone the brightest, according to the latest JetNet business jet research team. There were 5,675 planes for sales in all sectors, incl. the helicopter segment, 10.7 per cent or 680 fewer than in the previous year.

This corresponds to only 5.4 per cent of the deployed fleets on the open skies. It is noteworthy that the number of business jets fell most sharply year-on-year by 350 to 2,020 or 9.3 per cent of the operating population. This is the smallest unit stock of business jets at the end of the first trimester since 2008; it is the smallest unit stock since at least 2005, the early year for which JetNet provided information.

Used turbo prop investments also showed a significant decline of 0.9 per cent to 6.9 per cent at the end of the third month. This corresponds to only 1,051 of the 15,337 turbo-props available for resale. Whereas Business jet full-sale trades declined by 3.8 per cent, they require 16 fewer selling day sales compared to 297 in the previous year.

At 303 trading day, business turbo-prop deals fell by 0.7 per cent and took more trading hours to close, 13 day more than last year.
