Upon nomination, an official will also check and validate the information provided on the on-line driver application form and the DBS application filed through CBS Ltd. together with your immigrant background in terms of your "right to work in the UK".

The following documentation must be brought to the appointment: Present valid identity document; non-UK citizens, please present valid ID document and visas stating "right to work"; mandatory form - (completed); valid DVLA photocard; 1 valid coloured ID document (no glasses or caps allowed); 1 valid electric bill stating the applicant's name and adress ( e.g. natural light, electric power, banking or debit card) not older than 3 month; please note: - cell phones not valid.

Medicinal form - to be filled in by your general practitioner. Before applying, the applicant must be informed about the Group II health care standard. It is not possible to give an accurate timeframe as to how long it will take to become a Manchester rider, as there are a number of things that can slow down the progress, for example:

Missed completing the form properly; Not paid the right amount; Not brought the right documentation to your personal meeting; Convicted candidates who have sentences to consider in a license negotiation; Missed test for Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver. DBS must still register all licenced riders in the entire license language with the DBS Upgrade Services.
