Private Jet Sizes

They don't have to be wealthy to hire their own private jet.

Some of the smallest private aircraft, lightweight aircraft carry between five and eight comfortable seats and can fly up to two non-stop per second. They are not as roomy as other private aircraft, but they are the most economic if you cover only a small area. Aircraft of this class have low noise levels and can achieve velocities of up to 500 mph.

Learjets 31 and 35, Citation II and 5 and the Raytheon Premier 1 are just a few example of this. Medium sized jumpers are a more roomy alternative. Medium sized aircraft are even capable of carrying six to eight people in the bigger cabins and baggage compartments. Medium sized jet models are the Lear 45, Hawker 800/800XP and Gulfstream G150.

Supermedium class aircraft such as the Citation X, Falcon 50 and Gulfstream G200 are suitable for trans-continental use. In contrast to smaller private aircraft, supermedium class aircraft can take off and land at both small domestic and large multinational aerodromes. As a rule, these aircraft can accommodate up to nine people, but some of the bigger ones can accommodate 12 people.

Supermedium sized aircraft are equipped with all the luxuries and conveniences of bigger private aircraft - plus large, roomy staterooms, a galley and optionals - but on a smaller scale. What's more, they are equipped with all the conveniences of a bigger private jet. Big staterooms or large jet aircraft are the biggest private aircraft that can accommodate an average of 10 people. Aircraft such as the Falcon 900 range, Gulfstream II and Challenger 605 are able to fly nine hour or 4,000 mile non-stop.

Featuring such long haul capability, these aircraft have first rate seats with fully extendable table tops and some private bedrooms. In addition to a pilots, there are also cabin crews in large aircraft who take care of the passengers' needs and contribute to their security. Turbopropeller aircraft are smaller than most private aircraft.

Conveniently accommodate between five and eight occupants and up to four non-stop flying hours. 2. Turbopropeller aircraft are robust and agile enough to cope with the shorter, rougher take-off and landing strips (between 2,000 and 2,400 ft long) that bigger aircraft can't withstand. Aeroplanes are easy to adapt and can be equipped with floating amphibian bodies and skies, enabling landing in many different surroundings.
