Requesting data sets

Queries for records/information from the TLC are referred to as FOIL-queries. The abbreviation FOIL stands for Freedom of Information law. According to this Act, all inquiries for records/information are analysed. There is no need to make a slide request to get the TLC travel log data, which is now available for immediate use.

Every request must be limited to the letter. Record Access Officer does not respond to phone inquiries for data sets. To make the film processing easier, you can request your documents by e-mail. Enquiries may continue to be sent by facsimile or post to our offices designated for the hands of the Registrar's Access Officer ("RAO"). According to the Civil Servants Act, Art. 6, Section 89.3, a slide application must "adequately describe" the required protocol. A precise definition of a data set makes it easy to identify it.

Either you will get the required documentation or a confirmation of your request from the TLC within (5) working working days after receiving your slide request.
