Safety and test of taxi driver skills
Candidates for a new personal lease, Hackney carrier and double driving licence must complete the Safeguarding and Knowledge Test (SAKT). Execution of the Customer Awareness Trainings (max. 1 h and 40 min); meeting of the Knowledge Test (max. 2 h). Therefore, you should reckon with a 4 hr visit at the most.
You have the right to take both exams a total of three or less in order to successfully complete them. Failure to complete all Safeguarding and Knowledge Test items within 12 month of requesting a license will result in your data being deleted from our system (even if you did not complete the test four times).
The course is conducted by one of the law enforcers and covers everything you need to know to take the Safeguarding Test. There are two parts to the session: Protection of children, adolescents and vulnerable adults; the computer-based test comprises 15 test items. Every quiz is repeated, there is one right response and three incorrect responses.
It is your responsibility to choose the response you think is right. There is a 20-minute time limit to finish the test and you will get the results of your test there and then after you finish it. This computer-assisted test is made up of 100 test items. You' ll have to go through all the stages of the test and get 80 per cent.
