There is a fundamental distinction between the two cars in that Hackney Carriages can be "marked" on the road or in a tier and Hire Cars must be pre-booked through an owner.

Penalty is imposed if a passenger takes a ticket from the road without being prebooked. It is also important to remember that anyone travelling in a designated personal car is not covered for the trip. Please be aware that you must obtain the required building permit for your premises before you can apply for a privately held operator's license.

As soon as you have done this, we will give you your driver's license and brand.
