The new Boeing Business Jet 2 from Multiflight unites reach, room and a tailor-made interior like no other. As David Hood left to develop the ultimative privat jet, the last thing he wanted was a traditional one. Better known as a luxurious boat builder, Andrew Winch introduced refreshing inspiration to the project: his first Privatjet-Kommission.

When Hood considered a new boat they would meet, but things really started to click when the discussion focused on the new one. Hood, president of the British Multiflight Group, had already ordered a Boeing Business Jet 2 to substitute its Falcon 900B. Room and reach were crucial. Powered by over 5000 nautical miles worth of petrol, there is room in the cab for a master bed and room in the cargo bay for bikes and wind surfers.

The winds were refusing to limit themselves by preconceptions of what was possible in an aircraft. A curved section splits the master cab into two areas and simultaneously acts as an on-board accessory. Featuring spacious chairs, covered in soft suede, couches that bend softly to allow personal contact, and two comfortable dinner desks.

Aeroplane's full of proof of Winch's obsessive attention to detail. Inside the cab there are no exposed joints, bolts or bare structures. They know you're sitting in an airplane - machined aluminum parts and ribbed posts consciously recall it - but it does feel like it was handcrafted by craftsmen, not Boeing.

A similar care was taken to reduce cab ine noise by 50 per cent in comparison to the 737 airlines. Inflight Theatre is probably the most progressive system on any aircraft. Lufthansa Technik has recently launched a new electronic system to remove interferences on the huge PDPs. As almost everything else on the airplane, they were made to measure.

It is so obvious to its owners that it is a realization of a wish that it is difficult to say whether they enjoy it more to fly in it than to arrive.
